All behavioral and mental health professionals who renewed their license electronically during the 20 re-licensure periods under the Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board were asked to complete an electronic survey instrument. Currently federal state and local programs exist to recruit and retain health professionals in our state however these programs have had minimal impact on the underlying factors that contribute to the problem.
